On Monday, the students strengthened their knowledge of Shorashim by completing review worksheets in partners. They did a great job and I am excited for them to show me what they know in our Ramah 3 Mivhan (assessment), next Monday, Nov. 10. Please make sure they are reviewing their flashcards (both green and purple) at home, as well as reading 5 minutes/day, 5 days/week. The flashcards can count towards the time requirement.
We began our study of the mitzvah "Kol Yisrael Arevim Zeh b'Zeh." We talked about how we took care or were responsible for the people, animals, and things in our lives. The students then studied how the rabbis understood this mitzvah, as described in Talmud Bavli tractate Shavuot 39a.
Please note that the students are leading the Torah Service in Jr. Congregation this Shabbat morning, Nov. 8. We will see you at 10 AM in the library.
Please also be sure to sign up for a time to meet with me at Parent Teacher conferences on Nov. 24. You can sign up here.
To start a conversation with your child about KIRS: Ask them what "Kol Yisrael Arevim Zeh b'Zeh" means to them.
