Feb. 3, 2014

On Monday in Kitah Dalet-Hei we began our unit on the mitzvah of Shmirat HaLashon (guarding one's tongue). We played a game of telephone and talked about how hard it is to control what will happen to your words once they are spoken. We also discussed the power that words have either to help or to hurt. I'm excited to continue this unit through the rest of the semester.
The students also began their final projects on the book of Judges. Some are writing coming books, while others are writing scripts for a TV news report, on the Judges story of their choice. There were a lot of creative juices flowing--the projects should be great!
Finally, I'd like to wish Mazel Tov to our Mensch of the Month for Shevat--Justin Lurie! Justin earned this honor by always being willing to try, even if something is difficult for him. Congratulations Justin!
